Benefits
The anticipated benefits to this stakeholder group are:
- Streamlined copyright registration requiring less time and effort
- Fewer counter-claims and less duplicated effort to resolve these
- Easier to invoice more accurately for shares of works, freeing the flow of royalties
- Easier to administer and manage licenses, including improved data for small societies
- Potential to reallocate time and investment to front line licensing activities
- Greater transparency for society controlled works claims
